"Tuli" Ritual of Filipino Boys (Philippines)

Filipino "tuli" is usually done on "Black Saturday," the day after Good Friday, during the Christian Easter season. Some politicians attempt to win votes of parents by paying the cost of sending their sons to clinics to be genitally cut. Many rural village boys receive no such luxury.
